Quote of the Day - 11/15/09

by @ 12:39 am. Filed under Barack Hussein Obama, Ronald Reagan, Sarah Palin

Mike Patterson wrote a great article comparing Woody Boyd (from Cheers) to Barrack Obama. Today’s Quote of the Day is a two for one deal.

Here is the first “money” quote: ‘But to Fraser, Indiana-born Woody was clearly an idiot. Fraser, being a Harvard educated, Eastern seaboard-dwelling intellectual, naturally shared the prejudices of his breed; that anyone from fly-over country must be mentally deficient.’

This alone is why the political establishment was so scared of Ronald Reagan and are absolutely freaked out about Sarah Palin. I heard these arguements back in the 1970s when Reagan ran (both times). Yet I was confident he had ‘the right stuff’ that qualified him to lead; Common Sense. To those of us, the unwashed, unsophisticated, that actually have to live within a budget and the laws these fools make, we knew common sense when we saw it. And we elected Reagan twice, leading to 8 years of the greatest presidency in American History.

And here is the second money quote: ‘For my own part, if we had a Woody Boyd for president, I would sleep soundly. It is men like Fraser Crane, with their smug airs of moral and intellectual superiority, who think they know all and think they especially know what is best for others, who frighten me. It is rulers like that who bring ruin and call it “reform.”’

This is why the Country-Club Republicans, the Elitist politicians and Democrats are scared to death of Sarah Palin. She is America’s “Iron Lady” (Margaret Thatcher reference for the readers that may be too young to remember), with the common sense and fortitude to be President of the United States. The best thing about Sarah Palin is that she personifies what made Woody Boyd lovable: She is smart, likable, and an outsider, bringing in fresh ideas and common sense that America needs. In short, Sarah Palin is everything that Barak Obama ever claimed to be and that is why the establishment is quaking in their boots over the prospect of her running for President.

Quote of the Day. 11-13-09

by @ 7:47 pm. Filed under Comment of the Day, Sarah Palin

From the Wall Street Journal story about Sarah Palin’s book.

  • The seething anger over Sarah Palin from those who fear her crack me up. They revert to what liberals say they oppose. Just look at some of the comments here. Sexist, condescending, etc. Sarah Palin was a successful Mayor and Governor. Much more executive experience than the community organizer in chief ever had. What these far left Marxists fear is conservatives infringing on their base of women. To liberals, women are their victims and they only get them. If a strong conservative woman does well then what will happen to their strong feminism base and their argument that Republicans are “sexists”. This is the exact same argument why they also always attack black conservatives like Clarence Thomas, Condi Rice, Michael Steele, Lynn Swann, JC Watts, etc. They fear if women conservatives or black conservatives make headway with women and blacks, that their voting base will be gone.

The Marxists are underestimating Sarah Palin again as they always have.

Political Whore n. A politician or person who plays to the current whim to curry favor and votes.
