Keith Wilkoski is lagging behind in the number three slot (“porker” is number two). Carty Finkbeiner and defending mayor Jack Ford aren’t even in the top ten. C’mon guys, defend your honor! Even Karyn McConnell Hancock is smoking you in the Political Whore poll. And for Rob Ludeman, you definitely need to try harder! Even Jack Ford gets results whereas your very non-Republican blasé results are downright embarrassing!

Opal Covey is looking like the next mayor of Toledo!

Christopher Walken has announced his intent to run for President of the United States in 2008. If elected one could expect Fat Boy Slim to play at the inaugural ball along with (more cowbell) Blue Oyster Cult. But seriously…

What does citizen Walken have to offer the proletariat? Some would argue that an actor from the so called Hollywood elite would only serve the left wing of the Democrats and the ultraconservative right wing of the Green party. I suspect he would fall much more into the midst of the Libertarian movement. Given that Hillary Clinton is the de-facto candidate of the Dems, Walken would either be a sideshow act or totally rejected by the mainstream Democrats.

Christopher Walken has played many edgy and quirky roles so President of the United States wouldn’t be a stretch. Besides former actor and union leader Ronald Reagan turned out to be one of the greatest presidents ever.

Walken’s positions are in favor of campaign reform, the military and stem cell research; an interesting balance that shows a rational balance of needs. So far we would have to endorse his candidacy. His campaign theme of “Get America Back On Track!” may seem rather simplistic but is one that most Americans, at least superficially, can agree on.

Besides whom would you rather have for President? A quirky actor who would scare the loving shit out of our enemies or a career politician that would scare the living shit out of America?

My weapon of choice is Christopher Walken.

The two major candidates for mayor are dedicated career politicians who don’t even understand the words “control government spending”. When you say the words “control government spending” to them, it sounds like “purple monkey toaster” to them or something like that. It just doesn’t compute. For them, the world consists of buying and lying their way into office, and then having access to the legal apparatus of a municipality to spend money on themselves, their cronies, their supporters, etc.

Purple Monkey Toaster… isn’t that what Opal was indicted on? Animal cruelty, toasting purple monkeys? For crying out loud, purple monkeys are endangered!

How many Purple Monkey Toasters will Jimmy Jackson bring to Toledo if J-Fo grants tax abatement?

How many Purple Monkey Toasters did Carty sell off to make room for Owens Corning? Did Carty slap any purple monkeys? Was he toasted when and if he did?

Will Keith Wilkowski enact a Purple Monkey Toaster ban in his first 100 days?

Can Opal clarify for the voters if the toasters are purple or the monkeys are? Are they purple before toasting or after?
