Good news Toledo! Carty Finkbeiner will (unless the average Toledo voter is a moron) no longer be Mayor after January 1, 2010. Unfortunately that’s a very lonnnng time for Toledo to suffer more of Carty’s inept leadership.

Even better news Toledo! There is a recall movement that has just begun to work on removing Mayor Finkbeiner from office.

Take Back Toledo “is a group of Toledo area businessmen whose goal is to foster a pro-business, pro-jobs and pro-economic development climate in Northwestern Ohio. ” Their mission includes removing Mayor Carty Finkbeiner from office. We wish Take Back Toledo the best of luck!

If you live in Toledo, pay Toledo taxes (even as a non-resident and oh, by the way, this means you have no representation in Toledo… read the Declaration of Independence and think about the implications of this ripoff), or live in Northwest Ohio or are employed by a company in Toledo - Northwest Ohio, then you really need to visit Take Back Toledo and do something constructive like volunteer time or money to help rid Toledo of the cancer that we know as “Mayor Carty Finkbeiner”.

Glass manufacturer Pilkington has given notice to their employees who work in downtown Toledo’s Hylant Building orders to start packing and get ready to move out of Toledo and into offices in Rossford and Northwood, Ohio - both located in Wood County Ohio.

This is great news for Pilkington and their employees who will no longer be subject to Toledo’s oppressive taxes and even more oppressive Mayor Carty Finkbeiner.

Finkbeiner who claims to be the city’s Chief Economic Developer has lost yet another Fortune 500 company to Wood County. Last year Owens Illinois moved their world headquarters to Perrysburg in Wood County.

Wood County is also home to a new Bass Pro store, and First Solar. Carty was trying to lure (no pun intended – really) Bass Pro to Toledo despite the fact that Wood County (unbeknownst to Mayor Finkbeiner) had already signed a deal with Rossford and Wood County. Finkbeiner in his ignorance even took the Bass Pro officials on an aerial tour of Toledo and Rossford giving Bass Pro affirmation that the Rossford site was indeed better than Toledo.

Fed Ex will soon join Wood County as they are scheduled to leave their Toledo location as soon as their new facility in Rossford is completed.

Again Toledo loses economic vitality while Mayor Carty Finkbeiner wastes money on vanity projects like the Marina District, flowers and landscaping, non-essential lights, bike paths that are in disrepair as soon as they are completed, and near criminal malfeasance such as the Erie Street market, and let’s not forget Carty’s Golden Shower… Congratulations Mayor Finkbeiner!

P.S. What ever happened to Mayor Finkbeiner’s campaign pledge that he would have a revitalized Southwyck Mall within one year of his taking office? What? Southwyck is closed? Carty lied? No way!

This website is based near Toledo, Ohio. Toledo is somewhat famous for many things, most notably Jeep, Tony Packo’s, the Mudhens, Jamie Farr or Klinger from MASH, and most unfortunately, Toledo Mayor Carleton (Carty) Finkbeiner.

Carty Finkbeiner, or better known as “Fuhrer Finkbeiner”, is a jerk.

Before Mayor Finkbeiner erupted into the world spotlight (again) he was mostly known for trying to relocate deaf people to near the airport. Rather insensitive but otherwise a harmless gaff. We in Toledo had hoped that this effort would have spent all of his 15 allotted minutes of fame but no.

Carty Finkbeiner told the United States Marine Corp to get out, and stay out, of Toledo. It seems that the Marines had come to Toledo last Friday to participate in urban warfare training. The location is ideal for this since downtown Toledo is a barren place where no one ventures to during the weekends. After 4:45 pm on a Friday evening it is a ghost town; even the homeless migrate to the suburbs. Not until Monday morning will you see anything but lost out of towners and the delirious drunks that took the wrong expressway exit.

Mayor Finkbeiner claimed that the last time the Marines practiced in Toledo that the locals were afraid. He’s partly correct; they locals were afraid that Carty might prove to be too elusive and escape the Marines and the Mental Health department once again. They had plenty to fear.

In the last several years Mayor Carty Finkbeiner has terrorized the citizens of Toledo by spending taxpayer money faster than a drunken congress. He spent $10,000 dollars on his personal fetish know as “Carty’s Golden Shower”, he has wasted hundreds of thousands of dollars on flowers and ornamental lights to decorate the barren streets of downtown Toledo and the near by ghettos (he could at least bought perennials instead of the now dead and gone annuals). Granted the ghetto looks little bit more quaint than usual but it doesn’t change the fact that Toledo is losing jobs at a record pace under the Finkbeiner regime. The number of frivolous pork projects that he spends money on is far too long to go into at the moment but it is astronomical!

• Mayor Carty Finkbeiner is anti-American and Anti-free speech. Carty tried to suspend the Bill of Rights and deny the Freedom of the Press and Free Speech last year. He was sued by WSPD and lost. This cost the taxpayers even more money; sadly none of which came out of his own pocket.
• A Recall Carty campaign was stifled and strong armed into submission by his cronies and thugs. This is just another example of anti-American behavior by Mayor Finkbeiner.
• Mayor Carty Finkbeiner is a known plagiarist. (That makes him a liar doesn’t it?)
• Mayor Carty Finkbeiner was convicted in shady real estate deal at the expense of Toledo taxpayers (a common theme).
• Mayor Carty Finkbeiner has been involved in countless lawsuits involving physical threats of violence.
• Mayor Carty Finkbeiner has been charged with being a racist on several occasions.
• Mayor Carty Finkbeiner called African-American Fire Chief Mike Bell “King Kong” and then tried to claim that it wasn’t a racial slur.
• Mayor Carty Finkbeiner is insensitive to the handicapped. The deaf at the airport issue is old but just this summer he was caught parking illegally in handicapped parking spots several times.
• Mayor Carty Finkbeiner also abused his dog by locking him inside his car in 95 degree plus temperatures several times.

The list goes on, and sadly on…

Carty puts the “Dick” in dictator.

So as you can see, we in Toledo (and nearby) would like to apologize to the soldiers of the United States Marine Corps and ask that you come back to Toledo and hunt down Mayor Carty Finkbeiner and put him out of our misery for once and for all. Please?

Carty gets results don’t you know? In fact someone is helping Mayor Carty Finkbeiner get his message of love (love for Toledo of course) out.

Halloween has come and gone. Children wearing scary costumes begging for candy have now been replaced by scary politicians begging for votes. In a way the tables are turned and the politicians are luring the voters with pie in the sky promises (bribes) as if the voters were children and they’re sexual predators with candy. (OK so maybe some of them actually are.)

Halloween is quaint. The election season is down right frightening!

Toledo Mayor Carleton (Carty) Finkbeiner is far scarier than any conglomeration of boogie monsters, chainsaw wielding misanthropes (I hope Carty doesn’t have a chainsaw!), and knife bearing psychopaths. (Hide sharp utensils from Carty, city council, and county commissioners please.)

Carty Finkbeiner has been terrorizing the populace of Toledo ever since his first term as mayor with only a brief time-out during the Ford regime.

Carty has managed to dodge a recall effort despite allegations that his henchmen bullied the Recallcarty volunteers. Between having “unscheduled” street repairs interfere with the recall petition drive and having petition workers thrown out of the county fairgrounds, Carty managed to hold on to power.

Mayor Carleton Finkbeiner was left to obsess with planting flowers and wasting tax payer money on numerous frivolous efforts.

Mayor Finkbeiner managed to balk on his promise to have Southwick mall rejuvenated in his first year in office. Sure it was a campaign promise so we all know it was just a come-on to stupid voters.

The same stupid voters were treated to an incompetency tax that would fund the city garbage service. Too bad the voters didn’t sign the recall petition. Sad… perhaps you do get the government that you deserve?

Of course Carty Finkbeiner also thought it would be wise to spend $40,000 + on ornamental lighting of a street no one travels down after dark.

Carty also wasted $10,000 of Toledo taxpayer’s money on a golden shower; seems that Carty is fond of showers.

Carty also scared the crap out of anyone who walks or drives the streets by appointing one of his campaign cronies with a history of drunk driving to a highly paid city job that required him to drive. Fortunately the citizens of Toledo were spared their lives and livers when Carty’s serial drunk driver was exposed by the media and he was forced to quit.

And speaking of drunks, Carty vilified the Ottawa county sherif’s department when he was denied visitation of his step son who was playing Otis in the Ottawa county jail. Carty demanded special visitation privileges and was upset that he and his wife couldn’t visit after official hours. Seems that Carty doesn’t believe rules apply to him. Arrogance must be Carty’s middle name.

Mayor Finkbeiner had spare time to become the poster child for animal abuse by locking his dog in a city car when the temperature soared. This was discovered at the same time that he w as caught parking illegally in a handicapped parking spot. So between animal abuse, abuse of authority, and general disdain for the handicapped, Carty hit the arrogance trifecta. Oddly enough, after he was exposed for cooking his dog Scout, he did it again later in the week. If he treats his pet this poorly it’s no wonder the citizens suffer too!

And of course how could we forget how Carty Finkbeiner tried to shred your constitutional rights and trample the First Amendment? Mayor Finkbeiner barricaded himself from the press so that they couldn’t cover press conferences. It took a judge to intervene and force Mayor Finkbeiner to permit free access by the media and expressly WSPD.

So all in all, despite his pronounced arrogance, corruption, and ineptitude, Carty Finkbeiner is still in office. This is just a quick list of some of his obscene behavior. Just be glad he didn’t come to your door on Halloween!

Ok so Pimp Daddy has been sleeping his summer away (metaphorically speaking) trying to be oblivious to the political rumblings; local, national, and the world, and to wait for the real action to begin with the upcoming Presidential race. My nap has been interrupted by what I assumed was just a weird dream. Odder yet is that this dream state seems to be an ongoing sleepwalking sequence of blunders and insults by the Lucas County Democratic Party.

It started with the Lucas County Democratic Party being a victim of fratricide by one of its very own brethren, Lucas County Treasurer Wade Kapszukiewicz. It seems that the Lucas County Democratic Party was having a golf outing and as many organized golf outings tend to, they had hired some “Ball Girls”. I’m not a golfer but I’ve heard of this practice before. The organizer hires some attractive women to ride along on the golf carts and serve refreshments and maybe even caddy. Of course the women are attired in minimal togs. It practically a golf tradition I’m told.

In this case the Ball Girls were models hired from a modeling agency. Coincidentally this modeling agency also owns a Gentlemen’s club and the girls happen to work there as well. So what’s the fuss? Well one of the girls exposed herself to a few of the Democrats. Nothing was mentioned at the time but a local news reporter later heard the story. Knowing this, puritanical Wade decided to do a pre-emptive strike and claim that he had indeed complained about the incident to party Chairman John Irish. This is when the shit hit the fan and the Dems A team and B team once again took up arms and their feud re-ignited. Usually this kind of backstabbing is reserved for Danish royalty with Oedipal complexes.

Other than the prudish whining of Wade Kapszukiewicz, this story should never have had any impact. After all, the Democrats have a long legacy of supporting and embracing the sexual antics of their own. The Democrats are after the party of FDR, JFK, Ted Kennedy, Barney Frank, Jesse Jackson, Mel Reynolds, Gerry Studds, Wayne Hays, John Young, Brock Adams, Fred Richmond, Gus Savage, Daniel Inouye, Lud Ashley, and of course Bill Clinton. The Democrats have traditionally been the party of “loose morals”. Why complain now Wade? The Ohio Democrats overwhelmingly voted against the House Bill that would essentially shut down strip clubs and adult bookstores, and other adult entertainment venues. Sadly, the Bill passed due to majority of uptight Republicans.

Now don’t take this as an attack on Democrats; it’s not. The Republicans have a tainted record as well. The problem as I see it is the utter hypocrisy that is accepted (and practiced) by the party leaders, the press, and most disgusting of all, the voters. State Senator Theresa Fedor is a hallmark example of this hypocrisy. She voted against the strip club bill yet she came out a derided John Irish and the Lucas County Democrats for hiring women that she tried to keep employed!

Amazingly enough, Toledo Mayor Carty Finkbeiner managed to keep a low profile during all of this. But don’t think for a minute that Carty isn’t part of my nasty wake up call. Carty has done too many things to ignore. But that will have to wait for part two.

Recall Carty Finkbeiner

Toledo Mayor Carty Finkbeiner and Toledo City Council have decided to impose a $5.50 per month incompetency tax upon the citizens of Toledo. The citizens of Toledo are in effect paying the price for having elected incompetent officials that can’t or won’t balance the Toledo budget.

Toledo faces a 15 million dollar deficit based on the budget that Mayor Finkbeiner proposed and then railroaded through City Council. This despite Mayor Finkbeiner’s lavish spending on cronies, pork, and toys. This comes upon the heels of Carty’s socialization of the ambulance services in Toledo.

Finkbeiner has decided to take over 40% of the private ambulance business in Toledo using the excuse that it is the government’s domain to look after the health and well being of the citizens of Toledo.

Carty has been a Republican, Democrat, Independent, and apparently now a Socialist. We predict that he will soon be a card carrying Communist before long considering his penchant for totalitarianism.

If this is Carty’s latest strategy to drive business away from Toledo, it’s working! Even more reason to recall Mayor Finkbeiner.

WSPD has won a PERMANENT Restraining Order against Toledo Mayor Carty Finkbeiner in Federal Court. The restraining sustains and confirms the previous temporary writ.
This is a victory for the Constitution, Free Speech, and all citizens of the United States.

So will this end the political arrogance of Mayor Carty Finkbeiner and his cronies? Sadly we doubt it.

WSPD won a Temporary Restraining Order against Toledo Mayor Carty Finkbeiner in Federal Court today. The restraining order requires Finkbeiner to notify WSPD of all future news conferences, and guarantees that a station representative will be allowed to attend.

This is a victory for the Constitution, Free Speech, and all citizens of the United States.

Did any one else find it just a bit ironic and creepy that Toledo Mayor Carleton Finkbeiner was a guest speaker at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration at the University of Toledo?

Considering Carty’s racial slur against Fire Chief Bell (He called him “King Kong”and his dictatorial policy against the First Amendment, freedom of the press/speech et al., I’m amazed that he was permitted to attend the ceremony yet speak.

What’s worse is that he spoke as a politician and not as a community leader. He used the platform to make a political speech promoting the Democrats’ anti-war, anti-Bush agenda.

It’s fine if citizen Finkbeiner wishes to use his freedom of speech and comment on his personal political views but it is totally inappropriate to use this event, especially considering that Dr. King stood for equality and freedom, things that Carty seems to be opposed to.

Toledo Mayor Carty Finkbeiner yesterday chose to ignore the First Amendment and bar a reporter from WSPD radio from attending a public press conference. Oddly enough the press conference was called to discuss plans for the upcoming Martin Luther King holiday. Everyone knows that Dr. King was a champion of civil and constitutional rights. Everyone but Carty it seems.

WSPD reporter and talk show host Kevin Milliken had his civil rights trampled by the mayor. Today it happened again. In another public press conference, several of WSPD’s reporters showed up to the scheduled conference only to have the mayor stall for ten minutes and then have the mayor’s spokesman, Brian Schwartz, cancel the meeting because of WSPD’s presence.

Carty Finkbeiner has a long history of unusual behavior. Temper tantrums, throwing coffee mugs at city employees, random firings of employees, assaults on private citizens, accusations of conspiracies, falsification of documents, attempted bribery, convictions of ethics violations and questionable real estate deals, racial slurs, and a habit of wasteful spending are all part of the Carty Finkbeiner mayoral legacy.

This recent controversy comes on the heels of another Finkbeiner rant against the Ottawa County Sheriff. Mayor Finkbeiner threw a temper tantrum after arriving too late to visit his wife’s son who is currently serving a DUI sentence. Mayor Finkbeiner arrived after official visiting hours and became enraged when he was not granted special treatment to see his step-son despite his demands based on his political office.

Mayor Finkbeiner’s total disregard for the First Amendment as well as his immature behavior has many Toledoan’s embarrassed once again. Finkbeiner gained national notoriety after suggesting that Toledo move all deaf people to live near the airport.

Considering the disdain and lack of respect that Carty exhibits toward so many people, it’s no wonder that he has decided to ignore the Bill of Rights and violate WSPD and their listeners’ constitutional rights by depriving them of access to public information as well as their right of assembly. While Carty may not like the opinions stated by WSPD, it is within their rights to voice their opinions as a redress of grievances.

Based on this Mayor Carty Finkbeiner should be removed from office as soon as possible. No city and no citizen should have to bear the arrogance of this man as a public official. Any elected official that willing and purposely denies citizens their rights that are guaranteed by the Constitution should be removed from office.

Walk into almost any bar in Ohio and you’ll see good old fashioned revolutionary rebellion taking place. You will see citizens smoking! Our founding fathers would be proud. They however would be pretty pissed at the reason why this civil disobedience has been forced.

In November the citizens of Ohio passed a statewide smoking ban that virtually eliminates smoking.

Ignoring property rights of private citizens and private business, voters passed a ban that denies your freedom to consume a legal product almost anywhere in privately owned and operated establishments. The few exemptions are virtually unattainable so therefore pointless.

Many bar and restaurant owners have complained that this law is unconstitutional and they have filed several lawsuits trying to overturn the law.

While many smokers have complained about their right to smoke, I believe the real argument is that privately owned businesses have the right to use their property as they see fit as long as they conduct business in a legal manner.

Smoking inside public buildings has been banned in Ohio for years. There is no need to pass another law in this regard.

A privately owned business whether it is a bar or a shopping mall has the right to establish rules that their invited customers must abide by. Many of these businesses already ban smoking because they feel it is good business to do so. If the consumer doesn’t care for the rules then they have the choice not to patronize that establishment. Unfortunately the majority of Ohio voters don’t understand that concept or the constitution.

Instead of voting with their wallets, they chose to listen to anti-smoking busy bodies. This is one more incremental step in sacrificing civil rights. Ironically the smoking ban went into effect on December 7^th. We fought a war against fascism and tyranny yet we forget that and instead, just like the Germans in the 30’s, we freely give up our personal freedoms.

I suggest, in the spirit of the smoking ban, that Ohio citizens comrades pass a law to ban and discriminate against more minorities (take your pick, they’re few and don’t stand a chance by themselves). After all, if we get a mob rule we can silence unpopular ideas or people we don’t like. Isn’t that OK?
