The 9 Voters Who Lost Iowa For the Frothy One

Rick Santorum (the frothy one, blessed be his name) could have won the popular vote in Iowa had it not been for a mere nine votes. Jest has produced a video exposing these nine voters. Nine… just like the Supreme Court, a baseball team, or a groovy Beatles revolution song. Take your pick.

Aftermath of the 2012 Iowa Republican Caucus

  • It was a three way tie. Paul, Romney, and Santorum each received seven delegates. The popular vote doesn’t matter as much as the media is playing it to be.
  • Ron Paul more than doubled his support from 2008. Romney had zero gains.
  • 75% of Iowa Republicans do not want Romney. Just like in 2008.
  • Rick Santorum is the “new” Mike Huckabee. Without his overwhelming support from the evangelical sect of the Iowa Republican party, Santorum will fade away quickly under the scrutiny of voters who have multiple dimensions to their political and moral compasses.
  • Gingrich will attack Romney and Paul because he sees opportunity not revenge. Well maybe revenge too. By attacking the strongest two candidates he hopes to knock them out as early as possible leaving the weakling (Santorum) for an easy defeat/implosion later.
  • Gingrich still is the least liked candidate. He polarizes the party as well as alienates independent and Democrat crossover voters.
  • Paul is the most electable candidate as he appeals to the broadest scope of voters and has the support of swing voters just as Gingrich does not.
  • Santorum will become the new target for Romney, but not until after New Hampshire as Romney will attempt to deal a death blow to Newt while he has momentum.
Ron Paul will continue to be marginalized by the candidates but the Main Stream Media will pay him a bit more respect. I base this on Sarah Palin’s warning to the GOP not to marginalize Paul and his supporters. The MSM fears Palin and the power that she can wield when she chooses to. They watch her as a weather vane to see where they should be next.
  • Romney will soon come under fire from the left as being the candidate of the 1%. Absolutely true and also absolutely hypocritical as Obama is the Goldman-Sachs bought and paid for candidate. No wonder the electorate is looking for genuine and honest leadership.

Douchebags for Romney

Douchebags love Mitt Romney and Mitt loves douchebags.  It would appear that Mitt Romney really knows his base of supporters. Witness the screenshot sent into to us by a keen hawkeyed voter from Iowa City. So the real message here is that Mitt Romney supports douchebags and douchebaggery. Well we are happy that Mitt is being honest for once and revealing the kind of leader he aspires to be; King of the Douchebags.

Now we know what the Romney campaign theme song will be.

Newt Gingrich – Selling Access. Just another Political Whore

Selling Access

Ron Paul’s campaign has posted a new video on YouTube. It currently is a non-shared link but this seems far too good to keep private. Another take on Newt Gingrich and his serial hypocrisy.

How about we start listening to our troops?

What if you open your eyes? By Ron Paul

Speech before the US House of Representatives, 02/12/09

Madame Speaker,
I have a few questions for my colleagues.

What if we wake up one day and realize that the terrorist threat is a predictable consequence of our meddling in the affairs of others?

What if propping up repressive regimes in the Middle East endangers both the United States and Israel?
What if occupying countries like Iraq and Afghanistan – and bombing Pakistan – is directly related to the hatred directed toward us and has nothing to do with being free and prosperous?

What if someday it dawns on us that losing over 5,000 American military personnel in the Middle East since 9/11 is not a fair trade-off for the loss of nearly 3,000 American citizens, no matter how many Iraqi, Pakistani, and Afghan people are killed or displaced?

What if we finally decide that torture, even if called enhanced interrogation techniques, is self-destructive and produces no useful information – and that contracting it out to a third world nation is just as evil?

What if it is finally realized that war and military spending is always destructive to the economy?
What if all wartime spending is paid for through the deceitful and evil process of inflating and borrowing?
What if we finally see that wartime conditions always undermine personal liberty?

What if conservatives, who preach small government, wake up and realize that our interventionist foreign policy provides the greatest incentive to expand the government?
What if conservatives understood once again that their only logical position is to reject military intervention and managing an empire throughout the world?
What if the American people woke up and understood that the official reasons for going to war are almost always based on lies and promoted by war propaganda in order to serve special interests?

What if we as a nation came to realize that the quest for empire eventually destroys all great nations?
What if Obama has no intention of leaving Iraq?
What if a military draft is being planned for the wars that will spread if our foreign policy is not changed?

What if the American people learn the truth: that our foreign policy has nothing to do with national security and that it never changes from one administration to the next?
What if war and preparation for war is a racket serving the special interests?

What if President Obama is completely wrong about Afghanistan and it turns out worse than Iraq and Vietnam put together?
What if Christianity actually teaches peace and not preventive wars of aggression?

What if diplomacy is found to be superior to bombs and bribes in protecting America?
What happens if my concerns are completely unfounded – nothing!
What happens if my concerns are justified and ignored – nothing good!

Armed Chinese Troops in Texas!

Imagine for a moment that somewhere in the middle of Texas there was a large foreign military base, say Chinese or Russian. Imagine that thousands of armed foreign troops were constantly patrolling American streets in military vehicles. Imagine they were here under the auspices of “keeping us safe” or “promoting democracy” or “protecting their strategic interests.”

Imagine that they operated outside of US law, and that the Constitution did not apply to them. Imagine that every now and then they made mistakes or acted on bad information and accidentally killed or terrorized innocent Americans, including women and children, most of the time with little to no repercussions or consequences. Imagine that they set up checkpoints on our soil and routinely searched and ransacked entire neighborhoods of homes. Imagine if Americans were fearful of these foreign troops, and overwhelmingly thought America would be better off without their presence.

Imagine if some Americans were so angry about them being in Texas that they actually joined together to fight them off, in defense of our soil and sovereignty, because leadership in government refused or were unable to do so. Imagine that those Americans were labeled terrorists or insurgents for their defensive actions, and routinely killed, or captured and tortured by the foreign troops on our land. Imagine that the occupiers’ attitude was that if they just killed enough Americans, the resistance would stop, but instead, for every American killed, ten more would take up arms against them, resulting in perpetual bloodshed. Imagine if most of the citizens of the foreign land also wanted these troops to return home. Imagine if they elected a leader who promised to bring them home and put an end to this horror.

Imagine if that leader changed his mind once he took office.

The reality is that our military presence on foreign soil is as offensive to the people that live there as armed Chinese troops would be if they were stationed in Texas. We would not stand for it here, but we have had a globe-straddling empire and a very intrusive foreign policy for decades that incites a lot of hatred and resentment towards us.

According to our own CIA, our meddling in the Middle East was the prime motivation for the horrific attacks on 9/11. But instead of re-evaluating our foreign policy, we have simply escalated it. We had a right to go after those responsible for 9/11, to be sure, but why do so many Americans feel as if we have a right to a military presence in some 160 countries when we wouldn’t stand for even one foreign base on our soil, for any reason? These are not embassies, mind you, these are military installations. The new administration is not materially changing anything about this. Shuffling troops around and playing with semantics does not accomplish the goals of the American people, who simply want our men and women to come home. 50,000 troops left behind in Iraq is not conducive to peace any more than 50,000 Russian soldiers would be in the United States.

Shutting down military bases and ceasing to deal with other nations with threats and violence is not isolationism. It is the opposite. Opening ourselves up to friendship, honest trade and diplomacy is the foreign policy of peace and prosperity. It is the only foreign policy that will not bankrupt us in short order, as our current actions most definitely will. I share the disappointment of the American people in the foreign policy rhetoric coming from the administration. The sad thing is, our foreign policy WILL change eventually, as Rome’s did, when all budgetary and monetary tricks to fund it are exhausted.

Monkeys and the 2012 Election

We The People…have the opportunity for a peaceful change of power. the question is, will I and you as individuals, stick to our beliefs or will we be compromised by the promise of some individual benefit. The architects of our way of life had a firm belief in God Country and Family. They were part of our society and members of the working fabric of our country. They were not elite nor did they hold themselves out as being above their constituency. They did not expect for the country they took care of briefly to take care of them forever.

There is a story about 5 monkeys in a cage with a set of stairs which lead to a banana. each time a monkey made a move toward the banana ALL the monkeys were showered with ice cold water. Soon, if any monkey made a move toward the first step the other monkeys would beat him in order to avoid the shower. One by one the original five monkeys were replaced until they were all gone. but the behavior continued. any monkey who approached the first step was beaten by the other four, even though none of them had ever received the cold shower. They had no reason to react this way other then IT IS THE WAY IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN. If this isn’t a good description of what is wrong with our government I don’t know what is. When November comes vote the monkeys out.

Marcy Kaptur is a Liar!

The Toledo Blade exposed Marcy Kaptur as a liar. The Blade wrote that Congressman Kaptur’s approved political ad was untrue – http://www.toledoblade.com/article/20100922/NEWS09/9220302

“But a review of U.S. regulatory filings and Blade reports shows Miss Kaptur’s assertion is false.” – The Toledo Blade.

False, untrue, a lie.

FactCheck.org also states that Marcy Kaptur’s ad is untrue.

Factcheck stated that, “Iott Didn’t Close Food Town Stores”. Marcy claims that Rich Iott did. Based on Factcheck.org that is a false.

False, untrue, a lie.

There can be no other conclusion that one can make but that Marcy Kaptur is a liar.

LIAR!

And They Say Tha Christine O’Donnell is a Religious Zealot…

According the the left, Christine O’Donnell is either a witch or a right-wing conservative Christian zealot. Apparently their former god and leader isn’t despite his frequent quoting of scripture.

In Jimmy Carters’s own words…

“To my amazement, I was besieged with questions about my sex life. At first I thought this was just a passing joke, but I was wrong. It became the dominant news story of my candidacy, and my popularity dropped precipitously. Any attempt to explain the Christian theology behind my answer only served to keep the issue alive.” – Jimmy Carter, source: Living Faith, page 128-9

“I have an absolute, total commitment as a human being, as an American, as a religious person to Israel … Israel is the fulfillment of biblical prophecy.” – Jimmy Carter, source: Interview with the B’nai Brith, 1976

“Feeling a bit presumptuous, I wrote to [an evolutionary scientist] diasagreeing with this premise and asserting that there were factors other than pure happenstance that influenced the course of evolution.” – Jimmy Carter, source: Living Faith, page 30

“Because I’m just human and I’m tempted and Christ set some almost impossible standards for us. The Bible says, ‘Thou shalt not commit adultery.’ Christ said, ‘I tell you that anyone who looks on a woman with lust has in his heart already committed adultery.’ I’ve looked on a lot of women with lust. I’ve committed adultery in my heart many times…. This is something that God recognizes, that I will do and have done, and God forgives me for it. But that doesn’t mean that I condemn someone who not only looks on a woman with lust but who leaves his wife and shacks up with somebody out of wedlock. Christ says, don’t consider yourself better than someone else because one guy screws a whole bunch of women while the other guy is loyal to his wife. The guy who’s loyal to his wife ought not to be condescending or proud because of the relative degree of sinfulness.” – Jimmy Carter, source: Playboy interview, November, 1976

“This set of principles, rooted in my Christian faith, has both shaped me and been shaped by my personal experiences, and it remains to this day a central element of my identity.” – Jimmy Carter, source: Living Faith, page 46

“Being born again is a new life, not of perfection but of striving, stretching, and searching — a life of intimacy with God through the Holy Spirit.” – Jimmy Carter, source: Living Faith, page 20

“But if we aspire to grow as human beings, we should struggle to close the gap by making our inner selves truer reflections of our own highest values, which, for me, grow from my Christian faith.” – Jimmy Carter, source: Living Faith, page 48

“…There are basic principles that, for me, have never changed. For a Christian, the life and teachings of Jesus offer a sound moral foundation that includes all the most basic elements that should guide us.” – Jimmy Carter, source: Living Faith, page 14

Tea Party Movement Explained

The press in the United States doesn’t fathom what the Tea Party Movement is. Some even call it a “party” as if “it” was an actual political party rather than a groundswell of disenchanted citizens.

Sometimes you have to look elsewhere for clarity. The German press seems to understand the Tea Party phenomenon is better than the American press.

Take a look at http://www.spiegel.de/international/world/0,1518,717845,00.html

Ron Paul’s Tea Party Speech

Ron Paul spoke at the Washington, DC Tax Day Tea party. Barrack, Nancy, Harry, Barney, and the rest of the thieves were not amused. Too bad.

Obama Does China & Hu Jintao

For those who are still trying to figure out how and why the US is in such financial trouble the following video should explain things in terms that even an ACORN activist or a community organizer will understand.

Quote of the Day – 11/15/09

Mike Patterson wrote a great article comparing Woody Boyd (from Cheers) to Barrack Obama. Today’s Quote of the Day is a two for one deal.

noemdfan – November 15th, 2009 at 3:35 pm

Here is the first “money” quote: ‘But to Fraser, Indiana-born Woody was clearly an idiot. Fraser, being a Harvard educated, Eastern seaboard-dwelling intellectual, naturally shared the prejudices of his breed; that anyone from fly-over country must be mentally deficient.’

This alone is why the political establishment was so scared of Ronald Reagan and are absolutely freaked out about Sarah Palin. I heard these arguements back in the 1970s when Reagan ran (both times). Yet I was confident he had ‘the right stuff’ that qualified him to lead; Common Sense. To those of us, the unwashed, unsophisticated, that actually have to live within a budget and the laws these fools make, we knew common sense when we saw it. And we elected Reagan twice, leading to 8 years of the greatest presidency in American History.

noemdfan – November 15th, 2009 at 3:36 pm

And here is the second money quote: ‘For my own part, if we had a Woody Boyd for president, I would sleep soundly. It is men like Fraser Crane, with their smug airs of moral and intellectual superiority, who think they know all and think they especially know what is best for others, who frighten me. It is rulers like that who bring ruin and call it “reform.”’

This is why the Country-Club Republicans, the Elitist politicians and Democrats are scared to death of Sarah Palin. She is America’s “Iron Lady” (Margaret Thatcher reference for the readers that may be too young to remember), with the common sense and fortitude to be President of the United States. The best thing about Sarah Palin is that she personifies what made Woody Boyd lovable: She is smart, likable, and an outsider, bringing in fresh ideas and common sense that America needs. In short, Sarah Palin is everything that Barak Obama ever claimed to be and that is why the establishment is quaking in their boots over the prospect of her running for President.
